Prototypes are constructed and tested with a vehicle. When the GIRODISC team is satisfied that the disc will meet the goals established for the vehicle, it is produced in limited quantities and released for sale.

1) Simple and fool-proof installation
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for OE disc. No modifications is necessary as the disc will bolt directly onto the car and are designed to work with OEM calipers perfectly.

Approximate weight savings on Front rotors is 6.5lbs, and Rear 4lbs (total 13.5lbs Vs 18.6lbs for stock units) allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

Utilizes 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins (cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance) which takes the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Anti-noise spring washers are mounted on the rotor side which allows the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associate with floating rotors.

Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed (hats are reusable).
