ECU for E9

#1
Hi to all evo-ians
Im Ah Boy from JB working in SG
Just need some guides regarding Evo9 ECU...what ECU do you all use, currently Im using HKS Fcon Vpro version 3.1(Japan language only)
But this ECU seems like not friendly at all,I plan to sell of my Fcon and buy a new standalone ECU...

For Evo9 user what ECU do you all using? Links? Haltech? if can,pls state the price as well, hehe

Thank you very much :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

E9 on vpro 3.24, pretty much setup so i that i dun hav to retune unless i do a major mod.

Features that i used:
D-jetro setup = MAF-less using map & iat instead
O2 feedback = vpro will readjust based on afr reading

Only thing missing on vpro is the change in mivec map which i have valcon to do so.

All these can still be done thru flashing the ecu(ecuflash) with custom roms and running speed density

Bro,
Just get a reflash and ask Rhommel to do a tune for you, and try and sell off your Vpro and upgrade to a motec.

Rhommel can be reached at 93672677

If you want a good standalone ecu, get the Motec M800 :)

I agree. You can choose to go for Motec m800. Definitely more than enough for a heavily modded evo.

Hi Ah Boy,
U can try AEM V1 or V2 ( can get from USA used one cheaper )

Tuning U can look for Alai R-Engineering ( Permas Jaya ) dyno tune on DynoJet (Accurate Whp Figure)

Or If U dunt mind driving up to KL. U shld head straight to GT AUTO look for TOBY.
He will dyno tune on DynoJet too.

Both can tune others Ecu such as Motec too. Alai can tune Fcon too.

As for toby , he tune Autronic , Link , Haltech basically all ecu.

I just get my car tune on AEM V1 by Alai... But if i happen to drive up KL i sure will look for TOBY 100%.

Price wise it ard RM1200-RM1500 for tuning & dyno..

Yes i have had it on my car with no probs for a couple of yrs aldy.

Actually imo, impt factor to consider when choosing a stdalone ecu is d tuner.
