Clutch Help Needed

#1
Hi bros, I know this has been discussed many times, and has been reading past threads....but still confused....

Tis is wat happened,

Stock clutch pump (newer 2012 version pump) burst twice (Currently on Exedy stage 1 clutch 05803A installed by previous owner in Feb 16)
Replaced with Evo 9 clutch pump
Clutch is very low, cannot adjust anymore, either clutch premature wear or install incorrectly...
Car is close to 400bhp on wheel, dun intend to track the vehicle, some spirited drive once in a while

My question :
1) Can clutch be installed incorrectly, thus leading clutch pump burst? Dun sound correct to me. Clutch mfg defect? Unlikely?
2) Can stock clutch take close to 400bhp on wheels? I dun mind using back the same
3) Any workshop recommendations and cost?

Thanks to all bros. cheers

Hi,

Ur clutch cant be installed wrongly. The cover has prob lost it's tension thus the low pedal feel
As for ur power output it depends on which dyno u use
Stock clutch is good to last if u dun launch frequently
Do a search in this forum on recomended workshops for labor on clutch change. Here's an estimated/average price breakdown on parts' cost
Clutch cover $200+
Clutch pad $200+
Clutch bearing $90+

Cheers!

How can a new clutch lose the tension so fast? I juz find abit puzzled that what the workshops r telling me as i nvr experienced this b4....for clutch change, is there a need to change the flywheel or other related parts?

Cheers!!!
