Evolution exhaust system for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

The tenth-generation Lancer Evolution, otherwise known as the Evo X, brings us an incredible rally-inspired, all-wheel drive, turbocharged sport sedan. As this and previous versions of the Lancer have been favorites of tuners worldwide, we at Akrapovič knew this would be a perfect opportunity to showcase our technical ability in both design and manufacturing.


Performance

Starting with the muffler section, it is simply a work of art. Made completely of our proprietary titanium*, it features a dual “split muffler” design. It also incorporates a unique cast titanium Y-shaped collector and flange assembly produced in our foundry. Casting this piece allows us to construct a higher-flow and more intricate part than could otherwise be obtained using cut and welded tubing.

Moving forward, we offer an Evolution System that includes the muffler section as well as a high-flow link pipe that bolts directly to the factory down pipe. It uses our cast titanium flanges for a perfect, leak-free fit. For the ultimate in power increases there is an optional high-flow down pipe.

All of these systems allow for your choice of exhaust tail pipes. We have both titanium and aerospace-grade carbon fiber designs to choose from.

Owners of tuner cars are always looking for more power. Well, the Akrapovič systems do not disappoint. The Evolution system with the optional down pipe produces over 31 horsepower more than stock, while at the same time reducing weight by an amazing 16 kg! Our designs will allow “tuned” cars to realize even more substantial gains. Couple this with a much deeper, more aggressive, and drone-free exhaust note and you have a perfect package.

*A note on titanium:
Not all titanium alloys are created equal. Akrapovič titanium exhaust systems are crafted from a proprietary titanium alloy. While our alloy is considerably more expensive and difficult to form than the more common “commercial” alloys, it ensures a product that is substantially more durable, dimensionally stable, and heat resistant. Unparalleled in quality, all Akrapovič products are designed without compromise to guarantee the utmost customer satisfaction.

**This product is intended to be used only on racing vehicles on closed courses. It is not for use on roads or vehicles otherwise subject to emission control requirements. In California, this product should not be used on any vehicle that is registered or licensed for use on public roads.

When installing an aftermarket Akrapovič exhaust system with sports catalysts, which are developed for use on closed tracks, we recommend remapping the ECU in order to prevent potential “engine check light” warning signals.

i spoke to the agent, nice chap!

only setback to this beautiful piece of art is that ONLY the tailbox is approved (mid pipe non-approved).
they will advice u to send your car in for inspection to get the tailbox only approved & return to them to install the midpipe but u will run the risk of getting caught on the roads should u be stopped by LTA.

price does not includes the CF tailpipes, u will have to remove your original evo x tailpipe n fit them on unless u pay an extra 1.5k plus for them.
