Have any of the SST guys encounter or heard any grinding sound from the gear knob area? I had my 1st scare when it happen this afternoon, car was able to start, gear knob able to shift and no christmas lights on the dash. But when I release the handbrake and step on the acc pedal, the grinding sound started and will goes awaya when i release the throttle. Restart the car a few time and everytime the grinding sound is there. Started to play ard the AFS and AWC s/w and suddenly the SST enagage and able to move. This is the 1st time I have encounter this problem, anybody had the same experience. Do I need to go back to CnC for checks? Btw, I had mild bolt on, injen and thrust exos and my car nt even tune! What could had cause this? Any input?

went down to alexandra C&C for a check, tech say they scan and check but found nothing wrong. No codes and nothing damaged visually. Tech took a test drive and say everything normal now, say wait till fault comes and stay then comes back, else they can't do anything also..... well just hope its a isolated incident and would not happen again.

yessss! Already selected D mode, car simply would nt move and keep having the grinding sound. This is the 1st time Ive experienced it since I gt the car last sept from CnC. Subsequent starts after the incident are ok though.

On startup and shutdown, SST takes 2s to prep the car..
Shutdown sequence engages 2 gears at the same time and locks the clutch.
Startup sequence does the reverse.

Grinding happens when the gears did not disengage properly and the TCU preselects 1st gear

Happens on rare occasions when TCU did not startup properly.
