wow! did you use the F1 HANS device after dyno? torque higher than bugatti veyron man! 253kg! machiam rocket loh!

At 64.2kg! even a 20kg increase is too much torque. the car must be pulling like a train! skyline 3.8l stock engine with twin turbo also 60+++kg nia!

Salute!

Hi guys,

Just signed up to join you guys in sharing more on the Evo10 performance and engine tuning.
Am glad to answer and share. To pardon me if i take a day or 2 longer to reply... busy at the workshop/dyno...

Saw a few questions along the way...
Here it is...

The e10 injectors as seen by EcuTek as 570cc.
At 427bhp (estimated with a TCF of 1.28) or 334wheels hp, the IDC is around the 90% mark.

The torque do gain exponentially vs stock. Boost is stable through out. MIVEC plays an important role... as i have explained to Mark at the dyno... there were other "runs" clearly showing the effects of correct tweaking of the intake and exhaust cams. My take is... there is just no way to optimize your MIVEC without a trip on the dyno.

263kg torque is measured at the wheels... to get actual wheels torque, divide by the "5.07" or whatever number stated on the gear ratio on the dyno chart.

so its 263/5.07 = 51.87kg/m at wheels.
** all flywheel hp are calculated.
when comparing, compare wheel to wheel or flywheel to flywheel.

Most importanly, what we want to see is the gain before and after. How much was gain from baseline from hardware upgrade/engine tuning.

IDC is dependent on what AFR you tune to .. so that is subjective ..
AFAIK IDC 90% at 10.5AFR versus IDC 90% at 12.5AFR is totally different
If you use the baseline standard for turbocharged cars at BSFC of 55%.. you'd get 690cc/min at 427 FWHP

570cc/min as seen by software is different as actual flowrate of the injector ..
Evo 7/8/9 as seen by the ECU is 542 / 510 depending on which region you're in .. yet they all flowed at 560cc/min

Good info though thanks for sharing :)
