hi bros around,

needed advise from sifus from this forum as my ride currently is
a half cut from evo4 using evo 4ecu. Can any sifu advise is it possible if i change my ecu to evo5 ecu... in order to reflash.

Why Evo4 ECU cannot reflash? No definition file?

There are different model ECU for both Evo4 & 5.
With or without AYC type.

To use Evo5 ECU, you will face 1 obvious problem. Your Fan controls. They are different. Your fan will not work.
You need to get to a workshop that can re-wire the fan control system from the fuse box in order to use Evo5 or 6 ECU. That is before you send it for reflash.

Too difficult? Just change a standalone ECU. Many in the market. APEXi Power FC, UNICHIP, E-Manage, Haltech, MoTec, etc.

bro cant reflash becos it is in obd 1. reflash needed obd 2 and white connector.but dun seems to have it in my ride.

is it possible if i just change the obd 1 to obd 2?

If you insist to reflash your "claimed OBD-I-Reflash-Impossible" type, I guess the only option is to go to your respective Reflasher & ask them what to do. Only the Reflasher knows whether if it's possible.
DIY is not the way for your case.

Evo4 is OBD-II.

i am using evo 4 half cut as well..i just use a V pro and ask a tuner to set it.... u better change turbo and oil pump.

what i mean is do everything at 1 go not to waste ur tuning fee
