Hi bro,

If I am not wrong, only AIG and NTUC will quote..

For your age, my experience is around the region of 5-6k before your NCD entitlement, may be higher cos the last time round insurance costs went up again :blackeye:

I'm sure your quote from AIG will be alot cheaper. Btw, if you are living in low lying areas, please take note that NTUC covers repairs for flooding while AIG excludes.

Sounds crazy..... if AIG jump ship a lot of high performance cars are gonna land in the used car centers man.

How to buy Evo 10 like dat. Damn. I just feel stupid paying anything over 4K for insurance over a car. I spend less money on my life insurance every year man. :?

Maybe buy something else, like S2K, my friend paying about 2.3K with 40% NCD, above 30 age group. sigh.

The insurance rate in Singapore has always been "world class". especially this few years. Thats on top of "World class" car price.

But sometimes, its hard to argue when the accident rate is so damn high in Singapore. I see almost accident every other day at AYE near Keppel, & I only travel there twice a day.

In some way, we have only ourselves to blame. If everyone can be a little more patient, a little more conscious, learn to give way, keep a good distance to the car in front & don't zip around traffic like F&F, then alot of accident can be prevented.

Anyway, paying 6k for insurance is crazy, even by Singapore standard. Not worth it in my opinion, but its not my call.

By the way, what'd NCD protector, is is such that if you kanna accident, they won't reset your NCD?

if u claim own damage once, ur 50% ncd remains.. 2nd time claim, it reduces from 50% to 20%.. w/o ncd protector, 1st claim reduces 50% ncd to 20% straight..

mine is MSIG.. but only on renewal basis.. they no longer accept evo fresh applicants for the time being..

current marktet AIG/Chartis gives the best quotes for evos.

got mine at $1709 with GST, 33 with 50% NCD with Chartis. Apparently you have to ask around for 2nd opinion even though itz from the same insurance company. I was quoted $1709 & also $2800, both under AIG (Chartis). Mayb the higher they quote, the better comm they get?
I made sure the cheaper quote had all the facts right in their documentations (evo x 2.o turbo & also the named drivers) before signing up.

yup.. different brokers can quote differently.. cos big volume brokers can give better quote.. direct agents can give good quotes also to a certain extent.. margin or comm is fixed.. so its how far they can stretch..

The Car sale man initially quote like 6k out of his head when I asked him about insurance , I was like sianz half way. I told him, I heard people have got much cheaper, & he said he helped me quote.

Hi all broz, i got a frd who recent got contacts with the AIGs and other motor insurance companies!
I got a super good deal! Cos i'm piss off with all the so called motor insurance agents WHO end up dragging me for weeks yet come up with a disappointing quote. I called up AIG, they gave me a reasonable quote.
Was about to ON with AIG, when my frd ask me to let him quote for me. As a broker, he was able to give me a better rate!
But too bad, last min the owner of the EVO i intend to get, dash my hopes. (Wun wishes to say further wat happen)
Now i'm back hunting for my EVO 9 again.
:?
Those bros who wishes to renew their motor insurance or get a new motor insurance may wnt to give my frd a try. No harm letting him quote for u.
